Community Service Projects - Members of the West Houston Quilter's Guild are very generous in sharing their time and talents with numerous organizations in our community through a variety of projects.

In 2022 we donated:

78 lap quilts

33 preemie quilts

39 preemie caps (knitted/crocheted)

41 Beanie Babies to Project Linus.

We “adopted” two senior living centers in our area and donated over 100 lap quilts to their residents. 10 quilts and matching pillowcases were included in “Day 1 Bags”, given to CPS teenagers who graduated high school and age out of CPS.

We also donated quilts to the families affected by the fires in Ruidoso, NM as well as provided quilts to the families and students in Uvalde Texas after the horrific school shooting. We are an active group who enjoy the art of quilting and using our talents to support our community.

Visiting Guilds

We welcome area quilt guilds to visit our meetings with their opportunity quilts.  The Steve Radack Community Center, the county facility where we hold our meetings, is under new management and is enforcing rule #3  which states:

"The selling of goods and services in the Center is prohibited on the center’s grounds”.

With EXTREME DISCRETION, online payment apps like PayPal, Zelle and Venmo which are accessed from your phone or through the internet, are allowed.
