Comfort Quilters Bee
Comfort Quilters meets every Tuesday from 9:00 am until noon at QuiltWorks, 9431 Jones Road. Everyone is welcome to come and help us make quilts for Project Linus and the elderly. Bring your sewing machine and the usual sewing supplies and the rest is provided.
We are a fun group of ladies who make quilts for comfort, which will be distributed to local nursing homes and to the Linus Program. Each year we deliver quilts to area nursing homes providing each resident with their own lap quilt. If you would like to help, join us any Tuesday. Contact Connie Bihner or Nita Beard for additional information.
Quilts Delivered to Retirement Homes in 2014
Comfort Quilters delivered over 200 quilts to Legend Oaks Nursing Home in Katy and Woodridge Nursing Home in Spring Branch. The residents were really excited to see us, and Cathy Beck helped to entertain them by playing Christmas songs with the residents singing along. Members of the guild delivered quilts to those who were confined to their rooms with assistance from employees of each home.
