Our Bee - Katy Rotary Club
We meet on Mondays at Quilt 'n Sew, beginning at 10 A.M. The second Monday of each month is a sew-in.
Our bee was originally started by Paula Barnes (of Bonnie Blue Quilts) and goes back to the beginning of the guild. Other members over the years who have gone on to make a name for themselves: Marcie Wendrock, Mary Ellen Robison and Cynthia Regone. We also have some top-notch appliquers, embroiderers, and piecers, and we are very proud of our many award-winners at the 2013 WHQG show!
We are an industrious bunch and have at least one exchange or challenge every year. There are 10 signed up to participate in this year's challenge, and all of the quilts will be entered in the quilt show in the group category. We've already selected our exchange pattern for 2015 and are happily collecting fabrics to get started.
We are an active bunch, with several bee members in positions on the guild board. We also have the largest percentage of persons attending the quilting retreats put on by the guild.

Fabric Challenge Quilts
We picked a bright fabric for our challenge for the 2014-2015. It's always amazing what our members can design.
