SPAM in your EMAIL? . .

When you send guild-related email to any member, include the guild initials WHQG in the subject line.  That way recipients will not hit delete without readying your message - maybe thinking that you are trying to sell health-enhancing drugs or the latest stock tips.

Library

We hope that this year you take advantage of the resources provided by the WHQG Library.  There are many instruction books and novels to check out and a list of all of them are on the website.  You can call or e-mail us before the next meeting to reserve any of them.  Our contact information is:

Paula Hoeppner – 832-955-1642 – crafty10@hotmail.com
Janice Gaugl – 281-463-3634 – gaugl@att.net

We also have many magazines that are for sale at the meeting.

  • Magazines from 2009 and 2010 are 20 cents each.
  • Magazines that are 2008 or older are 10 cents each.
  • Quilters Newsletter Magazine – 5 cents each

If you had a book that you enjoyed or found useful, please write a book review and submit it to us for the newsletter.  You could also compare books on the same subject.  This information might be useful to other guild members.

This year you can earn WHQG Bucks through the library in different ways:

  • Donate 1 Book – earn 5 WHQG Buck
  • Donate 10 Magazines – old or new – earn 1 WHQG Buck

MASTER BOOK LIST

NOVEL LIST

IMPORTANT CHANGE FOR 2010:  In the past we have books that have been checked out and kept for an extended period of time.  To be fair to all, in the future you have to renew the book each month.  Also, if any book is not returned in 3 months the borrowers name will be listed in the newsletter.  This was decided and voted on by the Board. If you are unable to come to a meeting, you can send it with another member, or call us to arrange to collect the book(s).

We hope you will take advantage of the fabulous library that we have.
