The TNB’s had their fall retreat at Camp Allen in early September.   Anticipating that it was going to be a nice relaxing time everyone brought projects to work on. But wait, they received a special delivery package notifying them that each bee member was a special agent for the S.P.C. F.  (Society of the Prevention of Cruelty to Fabric)  They were informed by the Head Agent Ima Quilter that one among this group was a fabric felon. (Shocking isn’t it)  Crimes committed by this felon included buying yards of fabric and storing it in plastic containers, sewing seams then ripping them out and buying yards of fabric just because it was on sale.   After the shock wore off each member was sent on a hunt for clues and given directions to put together a specific 5-patch block.   Once all the blocks were made it was revealed that they were ALL fabric felons.  The 5-patch blocks were then used to play novelty bingo and will some day be turned into a donation quilt. 

This group had some good eats during the retreat from tasty casseroles, fresh roasted corn-on-the-cob and of course the best deserts on the planet.  As one members remarked we are not leaving here fatter just a little fluffier!
