SPAM in your EMAIL? . . .

When you send guild-related email to any member, include the guild initials WHQG in the subject line.  That way recipients will not hit delete without readying your message - maybe thinking that you are trying to sell health-enhancing drugs or the latest stock tips.

Sew Bee It

Sew Bee It held its first meeting in February of 2002.  There were six members present and the bee still consists of the same six members.

We meet every Wednesday morning in Sharon Dixon's home and have one retreat every year.  We had a couple of retreats in Wimberley, one in member Patty Geisendorff's lake home and most recently, one in a beach house in Galveston.  We started off doing group projects and we continue to make wedding quilts for the weddings of each bee member's children as well as Linus and nursing home quilts.

Our favorite group project was the row quilts that we did.  However, at most meetings, we each bring our own project to work on.
