Material Girls

The Material Girls Bee consists of 8 wild and crazy women, who share the love of quilting.  Amy, Jasmine (Jas), Elaine, Janet, Clydene (Clyde), Karen, Cynthia and Sandra (Sam).  We meet the 2nd Saturday of the month, at either the Bear Creek Community Center or at one of the bee member's homes.

The attached pictures are of our latest adventure, our annual Spring retreat at Camp Allen just outside of Navasota.  Besides sewing we have lots of fun playing games and this year a pj/slipper contest.  We had some creative ideas, just take a second peek at those slippers.

Can you figure out what they are made of?

The label on these slippers, aptly named Pad-About slippers, notes that they are soft and hygienic with a built in deodorant feature for fresh smelling feet.  They are for the discreet woman.

On Sunday morning we display our efforts over the railing of the front porch of our cabin.   From  left to right Karen ( an out of town friend) Clyde, Elaine, Jas, Karen, Amy and Cynthia.  Sam is behind the lens.  More to come on the Adventures of the Material Girls!
